Hi, I'm planing to cook this dish for my sister and her girlfriend (yes, I know) on Sunday, but I hav no lingonberry jam. Does anyone know if I can serve blackberry jam in its place? Thanks.

Red current would be a better choice. If you can't get that, try cherry--but cherry not the first choice.

All meat is vegetable based, unless you eat dogs or something.

decent quality cranberry jam would be closer to lingon than blackberry.

Bruh use cranberry as a substitute it works well

Cranberry is too sweet. OP needs something that's made from something more sour.

lingonburry jamb can be had at any Ikea just FYI!

blackberry, no.
blackcurrant/redcurrant jelly will be good, not really an on par replacement, but would still taste nice. Serve some pickled cucumber with it. you can make a quick pickle with distilled vinegar and a little bit of sugar if nessecary.

why can't your sister bring the jam? there's no way she lives more than 5mi from ikea

Like if cranberries wouldn't be more tard than lingonberries. It's also the closest tatsewise an the jam is sugared anyways.

put your cum in the mix, maybe it'll fix them.

Lingonberry is very tart. Try red currant jam instead. I feel like blackberry would be too sweet.

Perhaps dutch meatballs would be more appropriate for these dykes?

>replace mash with spicy potato wedges

>sear balls properly

blue/billberry jam works as a substitute, it fits well in the swedish flavour profile.

>> No.15097287

>>15097248

a swede would probably disagree, bilberries and blueberries are used almost exclusively in desserts

I feel blackcurrant jam would be better, it's used similarly to lingonberry jam in nordic countries, even though the flavour profile is clearly different

i am a swede, i tried billberry jam, it works really well. it is mostly in desserts, but functionally it's the same in savory dishes.

interesting, I'd probably prefer a more tart jam for meatballs, but maybe I'll give it a try

Swedicuck here.

Swedish meatballs suck, the only thing that has a taste on that plate is jam and perhaps gravy. Cook something better
