If done properly the inside creates a vacuum that seals the lid shut and the little dimple on top will be down. If the dimple pops up it means it didn't create a seal or there's bacterica/mold growing and you should throw it out.

you can make a great pork and beans at home

its not too hard except you have to pressure cook (instant pot type device) the dried beans for 20 min to get the texture right


dice up bacon and onions, throw it in the pot with the pressure cooked beans, and woostyshire sauce, ketchup, mustard, garlic or garlic powder, honey/maple syrup, optional (but not really) molasses, salt pepper, cover it in the oven at 275-300 and check it every hour (stirring every hour) till it starts to thiccen then check it every 30-45 min till it has thiccened 2 ur liking

1 lb bacon, 1 lb dried beans, 1 onion, 1 bulb garlic

also nice to dump 1/4-1/2 lb cherry tomatoes, whole or halved, in there 2
