sausage gravy is a shit base for pizza, it’s too thick and always turns the crust soggy 5 minutes after the oven. putting all that cheese on top is disgusting too, that shit just makes me nap afterwards

The problem with "breakfast pizzas" is that they're usually either a sausage gravy sauce or a hollandaise variant sauce. Either is too rich when combined with the cheese and probable scrambled egg nuggets.

A thicker crust can offset that, but you won't find a decent thick crust at a gas station.

Most breakfast pizzas would be improved by omitting the breakfast sauce, and just having bacon or sausage, egg nugget, and cheese on the crust. If you want to decoratively drizzle the top with a breakfast sauce, like you're working in a 7-Eleven in Japan, that should happen after baking.

Casey's isn't bad, but their ground beef pizzas are better.
