Apparently it was the Swedes who decided to put ketchup on kebab for the first time. Being Finnish, and out of common sense, I thought it must be absolutely disgusting and it never even crossed my mind to try it myself... until one night when I was extremely tired and had bought a ready-made kebab meal, and accidentally grabbed the ketchup in the fridge and took it out and held it above the kebab... right then, I came to my senses and did not squeeze it.

Yet... in that moment, something inside me began to swell. It was like a feeling of an emotional wave overcoming me, like I was doing something truly forbidden... something taboo, something that no man should ever do. It was like I was the male protagonist in an anime discovering his little sister's used panties in the laundry basket. I began to sweat. Could such a thing be done without forever violating sanctity of kebab? The thought of it being irreversible, something you could never go back from, sent shivers down my spine and my hands began to shake. Could I do such a thing?

The sausage stroganoff doesn't get nearly the love it deserves, it's basically a sausage similar to bologna that's been cut, cooked in a pan then added cream, tomato purée, salt and pepper (some add a lot more spices and onions are quite common) and served with rice, cucumber and perhaps a bit of carrot.

It's just an easy and tasty meal

Because during Yugoslavia, many people married without a care in the world. Religion was not important. Catholic vs Orthodox? No one cares. Most were practically atheist. Then war came about, and suddenly many couples found themselves to be married to an enemy and were shunned by the locals. So they had to flee. There were a lot of business owners who were robbed and looted, racketeering was super common, and they wanted out as well.

I am not in Sweden, btw, but I can see why some have chosen to leave. My parents were on the verge as well.
