Profit margin will stay the same as before but sales will increase, which is a comparable increase to revenue in the scenario where they simply pocket the new increase in overall profit from the cheaper to make McChicken (because they are not paying the salaries of all those now replaced cashiers), except not lowering prices is not a competitive practice and is therefore an unsafe business move. Shareholders won't like that and will probably lower investments in the company.

In short, you are financially and economically a dullard, and must remember that any time a so-called "free market" becomes corrupt it's due exclusively to government intervention or shady private practices (which CANNOT survive indefinitely, even in a free market, thanks again to competition - see Thomas Sowell's Basic Economics for more info on that). The only thing that exploits consumers - the only thing that CAN exploit anyone - is government.
