I've been to ONE of their standalone restaurants. It was literally a shack with two spic employees who could hardly speak english. They had one giant vat of batter and all the sides were in catering heaters. Tasted 7/10

I am not surprized. Grocery store fried chicken usually beats fast food fried chicken. Good fried chicken often comes out of hole in the wall rando places.

Unsurprising, since the store will make the fried chicken out of the chicken they get in for the meat case. Fast food chicken places will search high and low for the lowest quality, cheapest chicken they can legally get away with.

local gas station had a 5 dollar box of Krispy Krunchy Chicken stuff. 3 chicken strips, biscuit and a side. Everything was really good. Chicken had nice seasoning. I got jambalaya for my side. Had lots of sausage in it. The biscuit was my least favorite thing, but I still liked it a lot.

Krispy Krunchy is some of the best gas station chicken.

Possibly because they don't freeze the chicken, and it's been infused and marinated with flavor.

Good stuff, worth a try.
