One of the easiest internet chefs to watch and learn from, and his recipes are always winners. 10/10 imho. Also a big fan of Alton Brown for the same reasons, but they're very different formats. I don't mind celebrity chefs so much, your Jamie Olivers and Ram-Rams are fine, but I don't really relate to them at all

I've learnt a couple of techniques from him. His videos are enjoyable and he has a wide range of recipes from around the world, but the two recipes I did followed from him turned out terrible. One was hot cross buns and the other was focaccia. I put it down to the inexact nature of measuring things with spoons and cups like a troglodyte.

Spoons are fine.
With cups you need to decide if you are using 2dl cups, or 2,6dl cups. Which opens up a entire nightmare if the recipe also has some other kind of major measurement, such as gallons.

I like him. His camera always focuses on the food he's making and not his face like so many fucking attention whores. His videos are ultra comfy, he doesn't put any extra schtick in except for some of his corny sayings. Also his recipes tend to be fairly easy to follow and work out well. Him and Alton Brown are my two favorites.

You ask the guy who wrote the recipe anon.
A gallon is somewhere between 3,8dl to 4,5dl.
Not a big err, but it gets silly once combined with the 1/4 difference on cup measurement, or any of the big discrepancies between imperial cooking units.

There is a reason why in most Imperial cook recipes, you are limited to about 2 forms of measurement. With the smaller one usually being in cups.

Image a liter measurement where one liter is 0,3l and the other is 1l.
Larger spoons are slightly better, but LMAO dessert spoon and dinner spoons are respectivly 10ml and 15ml. Your country has standardized itself to either, so there is a fucking 1/3 margin of error that works out until you need to add a lot of spoons.
