>Add cinnamon and chocolate to beef sauce
>mix throughly so you can get that repulsive mixture of ingredients in every bite
>place spaghetti on a plate
>pour that repulsive cinnamon/chocolate beef sauce on top of it
>place a pound of shredded cheddar cheese on top of it

OH fag here, this place popped up as a front for the Greek/Italian organized crime racket from Pittsburg to Toledo. They've never turned a profit but didn't need to, some say they still don't.

I really like it and I'm from Oregon

It's not bad at all, just comfort sloppa. If anything, the "chili" is pretty underwhelming and does not overpower the subtle flavors of the cheese and boiled spaghetti.

In all seriousness it's good. Try it with onions, chili and cheese. For some reason that's called a 4-way. Splash some hot sauce and you got yourself a decent once-a-month meal

>cinnamon
Not at all uncommon in savory dishes outside of the US
>chocolate
A small amount of cocoa powder makes the sloppa a more beefy brown and deepens the flavor not unlike a dark beer. Taco Bell also puts cocoa powder in their beef sludge FYI.

It is like a two time of year - weird craving sort of thing. The shop where they are sold is super wholesome, cute, classic, and full of nice people/good energy. It is also the only place that I know of with a hotdog hibachi.
The mini hotdogs sold there have a super unique squishy texture. The cheese and oyster crackers are consistently good as well.

My mom lives five minutes walk from a Skyline. I love it and get it every time I go back home to Cincinnati. I used to eat it at least once a week when I was in high school.

Small amounts of chocolate help bring out savory dishese and the cinnamon isn't at all detectable.

>> No.15036588

>>15036565
I would argue that the cinnamon is detectable and one of the key flavors in skyline chili.

I like it personally, that's what's unique to the flavor profile.

>> No.15036605

>>15036588
I don't think there's much like it, but the cinnamon doesn't stand out for me any more than the other half dozen or so spices. It could also be that I don't have to think about what makes it unique as its a food I've been eating since I was a kid.

Why does ohio generate so much controversy? We mind our business, we arent pretentious, we are by and large pretty personable fellas, and we have a weird amount of really good looking white women.

Did a clevechad give your gf a steaMer or something and she loved it? I dont get it. Why does ohio make people seethe?

What you're tasting is the sweetness of the combined cinnamon + allspice + cloves. I agree that none of the three really stand out with respect to each other, but they all contribute to the distinct flavor

The people that complain about Ohio are likely part of the anti-white bigotry that took out South Africa, Slovakia, Rhodesia, Holodomor and other mostly white territories. Lack of multi-culty activism makes the powers-that-be, very nervous.

I put tiny amounts of cinnamon and cocoa powder in my chili too, and I eat it with rice and beans and cheese. You don't taste it. It's like putting small amounts of coffee powder or cayenne into chocolate.
Eating chili on spaghetti seems like a dumb gimmick that requires more effort to cut the spaghetti with your fork each bite, but it doesn't sound bad either.
