I made beef stew the other day, somewhat similar.

But i finely chopped my onions and fully incorporated them into the sauce. Also, no shrooms in mine.

And I used chicken stock instead of veal/beef. I also used balsamic vinegar instead of tomato paste.

But all-in-all, they're all just variations on the same thing.

Stews are so good, a friend I hold very dear to my heart told me he thought stews and stewed meat taste like shit to him. Wasn't surprised since boxed macaroni was mostly what he grew up with but I hope to convince him to at least try some. If he hates it after that then no harm done of course. Good kid.
