If I had to solo the whole gathering I would do something like a build your own nacho bar to maximize the ratio of people fed to cost and work. Picky eaters are also less of an issue since they can just dump on a ladle of queso or some shit. If it's potluck my jalapeno poppers were popular at the /cgl/ meetups I went to, or maybe just a fruit salad if I wanted to be cheap/lazy.

there are around a million trans people in the us. The biased survey was literally called the "U.S. National Transgender Discrimination Survey" which should tell you where their opinion lies. They did not account for if the people had transitioned yet, they didnt ask if they considered themselves passing, if they had came out of the closet and many other variables that would affect this study. They also asked merely "Have you ever attempted suicide" with no other descriptors. That isn't deaths thats attempted deaths which could mean anything to anyone. Does cutting wrists or attempting to overdose but backing out count as attempted suicide? Does having feelings of committing suicide and a plan but not doing it attempted suicide? It's not a descriptive enough question that its absurd to take this statistic at face value
