I haven't been to a vegan restaurant in years. Last time I was on a date and just got a bare bones salad. The date sucked.

Another time well over a decade ago I went to a vegan diner and actually tried to eat their food. I have eaten at some real pig troughs, but this place really took the cake. I had paid a premium price for premium indigestion.

But now I won't eat a strangers cooking anymore. It's been almost a year since I have even ordered delivery or takeout. Even longer since I've been in a sitdown. And I hope this goes without saying, no fast food either.

Of course, it's really easy to live off of and be satisfied solely off your own cooking when you don't need meat substitutes.

Tonight I'm having liver, onions, and maybe some radishes or potato. Tomorrow roast duck on a bed of root vegetables and buttercup squash.

You do realize even "herbivores" need animal products to supplement minerals that plants cant provide. I used to think butterflies were maybe 100% herbivorous until I saw like 100 of them swarming on a rotten carcass. And this was on a beautiful sunny day where wildflowers were everywhere just waiting to be pollinated.

But it doesn't surprise me that vegans are bigots who know nothing about nature. You guys are all just terrified of death because you are mentally children. Just as the oligarchy wants it :)

Look at my image. There is your source. Why do you think bambi is eating the bones of a human while being surrounded by green foliage?

If livestock were free range they would do exactly the same, but instead we supplement them with cobalt and other mineral supplements.

These animals are not idiots, they eat what they eat for a reason. Herbivores are specialist animals who can eat things like grass and bark. But even they need animal derived nutrition as well. Just not as much as an omnivore or carnivore.

Humans making the claim that they can be more herbivorous than an herbivore is just ridiculous. You are not above nature, stop trying to solve all your problems with even more industrialization and even bigger pushes away from natural human behavior, that's how we got in this big fucking mess to begin with.

That claim is also false.
I don't even know which context you are trying to shape that claim into.
But if you support any large scale industrial agriculture its going to mean death and environmental destruction. There are even animals like the Sumatran tiger going extinct for crop agricultural products like palm oil. An animal deemed as a "pest" is just as sentient as livestock.

Don't get me wrong, animal death is sad. Death is sad. But it's virtually unavoidable. And as a western urban industrialized consumer heavy person, it doesn't matter what diet you follow. It is destructive.

It's a cold, hard reality that you have to face. And the solution to making a less destructive (or even regenerative impact) on our planet is to completely change your lifestyle. And even then death will follow you. Whether it is killing a cow once a year, or killing hundreds, even thousands of small animals to protect your crops, you have to have a healthy relationship with death.

Livestock raised on pasture, especially if you raise livestock for your and your loved ones consumption, will have the least negative impact, and the death will be met with gratitude, instead of just destroying habitat for crop production.

Animals need to eat other animals. Life is not a Disney movie. This is just how things are. Stop trying to shape objective reality to fit your moral agenda.

Deer and other ungulates will gnaw shed antlers and bones for calcium, and with consume blood rich antler lining and afterbirth to regain the lost nutrients.

Other species are quite a bit more omnivorous than they appear at first glance. Squirrels and other rodents that are primarily seed eaters will happily chow down on carcasses, even of their own species. I've even seen the aforementioned deer scavenging meat from dead herdmates. It's likely one of the ways CWD is spread. And before you latch onto that being a bad thing, CWD is due to herd overcrowding, due to a lack of predators and lack of hunting. More hunting would fix it, not less.

Like somebody else said above, all food production requires death. Plowing a field kills dozens of rabbits, moles, ground squirrels, and mice per acre. A few months later, harvesting inevitably kills dozens more, along with young deer who like to bed down in crops. Letting animals graze rangeland is probably one of the least environmentally impactful ways to turn solar energy into calories, compared to intensive plant ag.

You also make sure to grow your own crops like lettuce greens, tomatoes, potatoes, squash, and other easy to grow garden crops as to not increase the demand for even more land to be tilled and more aquafers to be drained for things you can just grow in your back yard, right?

It doesn't matter if nitrogen fixing is a relatively recent technique. It makes American farming more sustainable now, which is what matters.

The rangeland that cattle are being grazed on usually isn't suitable for more intensive plant agriculture. You can't grow corn or soybeans or grain on the plains of Wyoming.

And much more slash and burn ag is being done to put out crops than it is to feed cattle.

This is why I was asking if you actually had ever been to a farm or talked to a farmer. You sound like somebody who read a Vice article once and parrot the talking points.

One time I was eating steak on my own PRIVATE PROPERTY when a libtard vegan burst down my door and threw blood on me. Little did it know I love blood because I am big strong cave man. I took out my cocked and locked 45 ACP and stood my ground like a man, and what did the liberal do? It took a video with its $4000 obamaphone to put on Woke Twitter and tried to cancel me! "Doctor" Anthony Fauci then kneeled with Colin Kapernick to denounce the USA and God while marxist professors allowed my hot, naked, oiled-up white daughter to get BLACKED while they forced me to watch. But instead of prematurely ejaculating like a liberal soy boy would I instead looked at Christ on the Cross and ejaculated towards His naked body instead. Then Joe Rogan and my father figure, the REAL doctor Professor Ben Shapiro stood up and DESTROYED the libtards using FACTS AND LOGIC.

My daughter, still shaking from multiple orgasms, oozed the cream pie out of her holes and was made a virgin again through the power of the Free Market. An eagle named It's Ok To Be White popped out of her uterus (which is my own PRIVATE PROPERTY as defined in the Bible), sang "Red White and Blue" by Toby Keith, and shat fish bowl cleaner into our mouths, curing us all of the democrat hoax Wuhan Flu immediately. And then everybody clapped.

I love how you assume I'm not doing anything.

Ever thought that maybe being a consumer and contributing and producing nothing isn't helping anything?
Maybe... maybe... if only you could... find a way to grow some of your own food? No way, that's impossible, that would require effort. Better get all your shit shipped in from all four corners of the globe.

I'm not a nihilist, but I do think humanity is mismanaged. Why the fuck is only 1 percent of the United States producing food? Maybe we wouldn't have to transport as much and use so much heavy machinery and intensive chemicals if more people produced food. I'm not asking for you to have a several thousand acre plantation or a CAFO. But a handful of animals, and a nice market garden.

But no. You think if you get the impossible whopper instead of the regular whopper you are saving the planet.

Maybe if you actually did something positive you wouldn't be so misanthropic and abrasive? I believe humanity is inherently good.

Veganism as a diet is fine. Whatever, it's your body, eat what you want to be healthy. Moral veganism is dumb though because you're just eating to satisfy your moral standing and not what makes you healthy.

Who here plant-based?
I want to reduce meat intake for environmental reasons. So for now I'm plant based.
I like to eat meat Friday or Saturday for dinner.

because learning about the suffering in the world is part of growing up, and trying to reduce that suffering is a sign of maturity, but doing it to the point where your health is at stake is retarded and immature

>focus on some thing thats hard to change, but would make a big difference
Or
>focus on something that's so insignificant it couldn't change anything even in a best case scenario
Hmm, I wonder what the vegan will choose?

You're right. That's why the triggered vegans aren't responding.

Not coming up with stuff is also a sign of maturity. Children come up with stuff and think they are true what they just imagined. Almost all vegans know exactly how to build a healthy diet and take the right supplements. Let's go with the facts and not with your imaginative feelings what vegans do or don't do, shall we? Less straw men, more facts. Let's be adults.

If you almost all know how to do it, why do you all look anorexic? Your delusions sure are grand.

self hate is part of the philosophy. Their body is meat, so it too must be purged, freeing themselves from the confines or muscles and coming full glory into proud Ms Skeletals all the while allowing a mental barrier to form that deflects any criticism. Not even Scientology can hope to achieve this level of cult-think

I'm kind of surprised they don't respond. I have vegan family who I debate with regularly, and regularly speak with many vegans. Vegans have very selective hearing, and if you tell them something that is hard to argue (i.e growing your own food will help minimize your carbon footprint on our ever consolidating food system) They will just move the goalposts and change the subject to something else. Usually they will start comparing animals to people of color, women, or certain religious groups and ask me if it's okay to kill them.

As racist as this website is, even the skinheadiest,, meat eating, milk guzzling /pol/tard cannot hold a candle to a vegan. Vegans say some fucked up shit. The racist, anti indigenous rights bullshit that comes from vegans pisses me off. And I generally am a relatively chill person, even when dealing with bigotry.

I didn’t know people were still doing veganism, as a trend it’s not really in style any more. Most people gave up and are trying to do grass fed beef and farmers markets.
