What's the cheapest carb you can get? Potato, rice or pasta?
Buy the best dollars per pound of that you can get and eat it.
If money left over, buy salt and ketchup. If no money left over, buy a bus ticket out of that shithole instead of food.

Spend $49.99 on in game currency for genshin impact then starve to death, since anyone that broke has to make severely bad decisions constantly.

Leave the extra $0.01 at the take a penny leave a penny tray at the gas station you go shoplifting from for the rest of the month so they think you arent a thief

Go for the cheapest shit you can find that is still edible and buy stuff you can cook and eat over a few days. Chili is a good one, just some meat, beans (if you prefer), diced tomatoes, a couple of jalapenos, and tomato paste. "Snack" foods and such, pizza rolls, frozen burritos, etc. Always get some soups/ rice/ pasta. Bread and some sandwich stuff and eggs are important as well as oatmeal. Tortillas as well, they can be versatile, make breakfast burritos or quesadillas. Went to the store two weeks ago and spent less than $50 on some of those items listed. If you have to, use your phone's calculator and add up that price, give or take a few bucks for tax.

Soup.
Water, carrots, onions, potato, celery. Salt (Knorr broth if you've got some money), vinegar, a dash of cooking oil (or bacon fat, chicken fat, whatever).
Fry off the onions first, then the carrots. Add water and potato, bring to boil, reduce to simmer. Add the celery.
Should be around $2 for 2 days worth.

Rice and eggs; you're gonna need some eggs.

Also if you're a manchild and can't cook for yourself. You can get rotisserie chickens from the grocery store. They're like $5-$7 for a whole chicken which can last you an entire week.

Getting three weeks worth of all of that would cost less than $15.

Living off of $50 for three weeks? That's easy shit.

OP must be bad with money or cooking if he doesn't know how cheap food can actually be.

What a bunch of stupid comment i see here.

Buy
> Cheap pasta/rice
> Legumes
> Seasonal vegetables + garlic and onions
> Seasonal fruits + lemon
> Sardines/anchovies/mackarel (not the canned shit, but the fresh one
> Offals (heart/liver/intestine).
> Eggs
> Milk ( or yogurt sometimes)
> Coffee

Some tips
> Healthy food is cheaper, especially if you don't care about stupid stuffs like looks
> If you really are desperate you can avoid some things that are generally thrown away but are actually edible (and sometimes nutritions) like the rind of oranges and bananas

> If you are on budget, avoid meat muscles and prefer organs, they are nutrition bombs and you have to eat less of them

> Low budget means you have to shop more frequently.

> Avoid prepping, eating the same things 3 or more days in a row it's not good for you and you cannot afford the risk of having to throw away spoiled food

>> No.14996010

How many grocery stores near you? You can slip a couple energy bars into your pockets, but don't do it more than once per month, unless you regularly shop there.

>> No.14996019

Health food is never cheaper. Even if it was the same price it is advertised as having less nutrients. If you meant healthy food sure some is.

Rice, beans, onions, garlic, some veggies and fruit. Spend the rest on eggs and bacon or some bread and peanut butter. Make fried rice with the bacon and eggs, peanut butter toast otherwise. Bulk of your diet will be rice and beans flavored with alliums though, and that's not a bad thing.
