I use it in place of white rum for things like Mojitos but only when I don't have rum. The rest of the time it goes with seltzer, your fresh citrus of choice, and ice. Maybe a bit of simple syrup. Once in a while I cut up a pineapple and soak it in vodka. I made limoncello once and that was amazing.

Even IF your wild claim of a government liquor store having cheap alcohol is true, the amount of effort put into finding those sales makes it ridiculous.
My local liquor store has steady handles for $30, and another one has quarts for $15. Usually your handles are $50+.

Pic in OP is pretty good. Stoli is good also.
Thing with vodka though is that vodka is vodka. You have good vodka and bad vodka, its more about smoothness than flavour. Spending a lot on a bottle of vodka is like spending a lot on a bottle of water.

Belevedere is great for a couple extra bucks. Stoli is good. Smirnoff is solid if you want something cheaper priced.

>> No.14983928

>Smirnoff is solid
Smirnoff is absolute trash. I've had cheap off brand vodkas that were better than that crap. The only time smirnoff is palatable is when its mixed into a really sugary drink.

>> No.14983938

>>14983928
Smirnoff is unironically better than a lot of mid shelf vodka (like Grey Goose and Absolut). It's smooth and doesn't have a lot of aftertaste. Great for mixing, which is why people buy vodka to begin with.

>> No.14983950

>>14983938
idfk about that, grey goose is overpriced but it's at least smooth, smirnoff is just bad

smaller east europe brands like khyorsta and sobieski blow any of the big heavy advertising brands away anyway

I certainly prefer the vodka hangover to the beer hangover. Vodka hangover just means eating a lot of salt and about a quart of water. A beer hangover means all of your water soluble vitamins are gone, all of your salt is gone, and all of your water is gone, on top of massive amounts of farts.
