A Rueben is probably my favorite, but I'll throw out something I NEVER see posted. I make linguica sandwiches that are super simple. Prick them with a fork, then boil to release some of the extra fat. Slice almost in half and butterfly, then fry on both sides until crispy while you broil some stadium rolls or something similar to get them lightly toasted. Add linguica to the rolls, some mozzarella or havarti, and then broil again until cheese is bubbly. Then I slap on some dill pickle slices and it's good to go. It's ridiculously simple, but linguica is heavily spiced, is mellowed by the creaminess of the cheese and lastly the acidity of the dill pickle cuts through the richness.

Turkey club, Philly, French dip, rubber, corned beef, etc are all based. Roast beef subs are based. Tuna sandwiches. Grilled cheese. There are so many good sandwiches.

Objectively wrong. Everybody wants to argue that their version of a breaded cutlet is somehow superior but it's all the same shit with regional toppings or sauce. Katsu, schnitzel, milanesa, cotoletta, chicken parm, cordon bleu... FFS it's not remarkable. None of them are bad, but none of them will surprise you.
