It's one of those things where if you want to make it, it's worth making right. I'm definitely not a "throw a packet of hershey's powder into cold 2% milk and microwave it" kind of guy. Whole milk (and even a little half and half if you want it extra rich), dark chocolate, cocoa powder, cinnamon, vanilla, a little bit of sugar, a tiny pinch of salt. If you want to get real freaky around the holidays, a little peppermint schnapps added to the cup.
