for me it's yuenhling or miller high life

What was based was when Miller High Life celebrated its slogan "The Champagne of Beers" by releasing a bottle of High Life that was the same shape and size as a champagne bottle, and packaged like one too. I bought it and a bottle of real French champagne and drank both in one evening to taste the difference.

Normally I just buy Pabst, Natural Light, or Keystone Light though. Occasionally Red Dog or Leinenkugel's.

Been getting Centennial by Founders. Not bad, just a cheap flavorful knockoff of Bell's Two Hearted.

>> No.14884326

>>14884319
Actually a ringing endorsement of centennial, I passed it up until this post and am going to get it next time. Local place doesn't have two hearted but it has centennial. Gotta go a bit further for two hearted.
I love Two Hearted.

I like Yuengling Lager for lagers
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for [I]PAs
Guinness for stouts

I know I've had that one too but they literally use Centennial as the standard to teach beer judges at GABF and other festivals, so I was just taken aback by the knock off comment. I'm a North Texas fag so for me it's Community Mosaic. Enjoyed my time drinking in Michigan though.

Where to start for beers? I drink Heineken because that’s what my dad always drank but apparently it tastes like musky horse piss to most any recommendations?

>> No.14885346

Heineken didn’t get worldwide distribution by tasting like horse piss. I’ve had it in fucking Indonesia and it tasted fine. Beer snobs are coping retards. Are there better beers than henekein? Of course

Heineken is overpriced. It's not a bad beer, but you can get similar beer cheaper.
Try Dab, Martens, Carlsberg or Tuborg..

It's not bad. I have great respect for Coors as I'm old enough to remember the time my parents (they colleged in CO) bootlegged some to Ohio when I was a wee child about the same time Smoky and the Bandit was in theaters. RIP Burt, I drank a few Coors and watched SatB in your honor the day you passed.

In all honesty though, Miller High Life edges it out.
