The ingredients of Just egg aren't that weird either. Protein Isolate isn't weird, you can even make it at home. Everything else can be found in your pantry or kitchen supply store.
Egg substitutes, especially """""""natural"""""""""" substitutes, eg, flax, chia, banana, chickpea water, suck. They only sometimes work in certain cases, but most of the time whatever you're baking just ends up sucking.

Vegan butter? Like hydrogenated seed oils that cause fucking heart attacks? And flax is disgusting. Don't even front on this one. I used to eat a ton of flax and ground flax, it is the most disgusting shit ever. And it turns out the ALA's it produces are not even optimally converted into EPA efficiently.

How about no. I have ducks. I culled the excess males (quick and painless death living 2-3 times longer than commercial meat birds), each male produces a TON of fat (like a quart jar full each). The females lay eggs. Female egg ducks (specifically khaki campbells) lay more eggs than commercial egg chickens, and lay year round without supplementary light.

So how about this; I get a fucking egg from my egg ducks who don't give a shit about their eggs. And when I want cooked eggs, I cook the eggs in duck fat.

No, population growth is.

They have lots of people, they want money, they have arable land. Currently palm oil is the easiest way to make money, but if we stop importing that they will find some other crop which sells. Or they could turn it into grassland and herd cows.

Palm oil has excellent yield, the only unsustainable part is that it's a monoculture. But at this point we couldn't feed the earth without monoculture agriculture. It's very efficient.

All of the grassland Europe herds its cows on were forests too before we chopped them down. Most rangeland in the US would have been forest too if the Indians hadn't kept burning it.

Palm oil is NOT efficient. Other than artificially.
You need tons of machinery to produce palm, palm can only be grown in small parts of the world, and it requires destroying the homes of tons of animals that are now endangered or extinct. Then of course there is the fossil fuel and petroleum oil costs of transporting and processing it. It's artificially efficient.

The growing areas have demand for luxury. They will use their labour however they can to achieve that luxury, agriculture is one of the main ways they do that. Whether they have to grow palm, coconut, beef is irrelevant. They'll chop down the rainforest for the land regardless.

In the end transport doesn't add nearly as much cost, either in money or in fuel, as you think. Their low cost of labour and highly fertile land makes them competitive in a globalized market for agricultural goods, whatever they grow.

You absolute fucking idiot. Poorfags around the world ALREADY are starving. It's just poorfags in America that are obese. And it's not because of cows eating inedible shit. It's because of shitty distribution

American money is worth infinitely more than it is in countries unfortunate enough to be labeled as 3rd world. So their corrupt governments steal all their food.

Artificial fertilizers are absolute shit. it's just the conventionally minded retards who keep pumping their crops full of artificially cheap fossil fertilizer instead of actually fixing their god damn soil using rotational grazing which is actually cheaper and in the long term a more efficient use of the land. Think about it faggot: Imagine an almond monocrop, now imagine in between the fucking rows some god damn grass and some cattle or chickens or BOTH on the fucking grass shitting, pissing, grazing, and scratching through feces for maggots. This system worked and still does work.

Going vegan isn't going to help poor people. Have you even ever seen how the poor in the 3rd world live? they live with their god damn livestock, it's ALL THEY HAVE.

I agree with this anon. There is a certain point where as an enlightened species we should try to limit the amount of suffering on the planet, but we haven't even achieved that with our own species, let alone others. Taking it a step further and adding suffering to our species so that some lower being can live a few more torturous days just seems counter productive. Livestock have existed within human society for millennia for a reason. We can minimize their suffering and have net gain all around if people just stop sucking cock for a second.

>Poorfags around the world ALREADY are starving.
Africans and certain parts of the ME are uniquely incompetent and overpopulated.

Indonesia, not so much. They are not starving, they just want money to buy iphones, fridges, etc. Agriculture is one of the primary ways they make money.
>Artificial fertilizers are absolute shit.
It's the ONLY alternative to using human manure. Without artificial fertilizer you can only have small losses in the nutrient cycle, which get replenished by geological processes.
>Imagine an almond monocrop, now imagine in between the fucking rows some god damn grass
They already hay the grass ... you severely underestimate farmers and severely overestimate energy cost of transport. Keeping everything local really isn't all that important.
>some cattle or chickens or BOTH on the fucking grass shitting, pissing, grazing, and scratching through feces for maggots. This system worked and still does work.
Does very little except speed up nutrient cycling. Animals add nothing, they are not fusion plants which transform the molecular make up of what they eat. Whether the plant matter plain rots or gets digested and then the animal manure and flesh rots makes fuck all difference in the end.

Using crop waste and small bits of land needed for crop access animal feed can lead to a very small increase in human useful caloric output of a field ... but it's not all that impressive.
>Have you even ever seen how the poor in the 3rd world live? they live with their god damn livestock, it's ALL THEY HAVE.
We feed Africa to a significant extent ... what they have is their pitiful agriculture plus the output of our scientific agriculture.

If you want to optimize caloric output of land no more than a couple percent will be animal flesh. Most of the solar energy goes into the edible part of the plants, western farmers are very good at what they do.

We don't need artificial fertilizer, it's not a renewable resource like cow shit. More and more people are abandoning artificial fertilizer in our next gen because they realize it's not only unsustainable but costs more than just having beef cows graze on rested farmland, letting them shit it up, having chickens scratch through and spread the shit, and then after selling the excess beef cows and chicken eggs/meat THEN you can replant the land.

Doesn't matter how frou frou the farming is, any commercial farm will exhaust soil without fertilizer to replenish nutrients escaping from the loop. Geological processes are only sufficiently fast for nature, where everything does shit and die where they eat.

For extremely low intensive agriculture you might stretch that to a century or so, like in range grazing, but eventually even there you have to pay the piper.

Weird, where I live, it used to be illegal to sell margarine WITHOUT dye in it. As late as the 90s, margarine companies were required to dye their product bright yellow or orange so that it was visibly distinct from butter. The actual law was that it couldn't be the colour of butter, which included the fatty white colour that margarine typically was without added dyes.

Found this image that illustrates the difference on that other site.
Eventually there was an issue raised that foreign uncoloured products could technically be imported but not legally sold, and the domestic margarine industry pretended to bite the bullet and used that as reasoning to get the dye requirements removed. In hindsight, imports only accounted for a small part of the market and the domestic margarine industry has probably benefited from not being required to make its product look cartoonish.

here's an except from the US law about it. it used to be required to be bright pink
>Ultimately, the Margarine Act of 1886 was passed, placing a tax on margarine and requiring that manufacturers secure licenses to produce the product. Vermont, South Dakota and New Hampshire state legislatures all passed laws requiring margarine to be dyed bright pink—a visual declaration of the product's artificiality that was also sure to be perfectly unappetizing to prospective buyers.
