Can we please talk about Anglosphere cuisine? Why is it so terrible?

I don't like massive burgers like this. The entire purpose of the burger format is that the bun fuctions as a container for the filling, as well as a handle to avoid getting your hands dirty, or having to use knife/fork. Giant burgers defeat the point.

That's a total gimmick. Nobody likes hot cross buns, I've never had carrot in my burger, the patties are far too big for the bun and it's also pretty rare to see those thin American style patties over here. This is just some bullshit someone did for attention on social media

Anglosphere as in Britain, Australia, North America, etc.? It's not terrible. Even British food, for all its failings, has plenty of gems.

Their traditional cuisine is kilometers of quality away from southern Europe. Given this fact they can't and will never develop modern food since their foundations have always been shit. Most of their modern restaurants use french cuisine and techniques as their foundation. Having to rely on other countries cuisines to produce good food because your national food is so atrocious is quite embarrassing.

Anglo seafood stews and bakes are pretty good.
Also beef welly.

accurate, the ratios have to be right in order to get all the flavors aswell. these kind of burgers are usualy made by people who have no idea how to make burgers who think big = better. pic related if how a good burger is supposed to look like, exculding the veggie patty.

Nobody really does. Nobody orders this because they just want to eat it. People buy it because it's quirky and entertaining and they probably want to post a picture of it on their social media, but it's not actually good and I would assume the novelty of it wears off pretty quick for most people once they realize it's not actually that enjoyable to eat.

The point of this is that it's performatively indulgent and elaborate, in posting it to IG you're demonstrating that you have the resources and wherewithal to sit down in a trendy neighborhood and spend $35 on a meme

It was pretty good before rationing and convenience foods took their toll. Lots of variety, nutritious, and plenty of seafood dishes. Not as glamorous as French haute cuisine, but Western haute cuisine was virtually invented by French chefs—from the days of royalty. Anglos today simply aren't as fussy when it comes to cookery on the whole (more practical in other areas). Still, the apparent balefulness is somewhat overstated—particularly if you look to older recipes for influence.
