What's the cheapest and most efficient meal that you make on the regular? I make this particular potato, onion, pepper and spinach mash multiple times a week, usually when I'm shit faced drunk

Takes 10 minutes.

>cook rice
>fry ground meat
>fry leftover veggies
>add cream or canned tomatoes or coconut milk
>season according to liquid I just put in
>let simmer

5-6 portions, can cut leftover veggies while meat is frying. Clean cutting board and knife while food is simmering. Cheap. Healthy. Delicious. Can eat the next day.

rosemary, oregano, thyme, cumin, different peppercorns or chilis. Or go full indian mode and add those spice mixes, garam masala, tumeric, cloves, star anise, cardamon.

pic related is what they have in Germany for 2€ a pack. I cooked many indian and thai dishes with all sorts of fancy spices and it took me some long and honest thinking to realize that this package is pretty good.

Kimchi stew

I fry some sliced pork belly in a stone pot like pic related with sesame oil, garlic and onion

Once browned throw some kimchi in and add water to cover

Simmer for a half hour, then season with soy sauce/pepper before serving

For something more nutritious you can just add an egg or some tofu halfway

Very easy and tasty

Big fan of Chef John's Chicken, Sausage, Potatoes and Peppers. Just take chicken thighs, Italian sausage that's been browned, chopped potatoes and onions and peppers. Herbs, salt, pepper and olive oil. In a pan at 400°F for an hour. Super easy and fairly cheap.

Sometimes when I don't have the ingredients to make a normal meal I'll take whatever random shit like tomatos that are too soft and shitty to eat raw, spinach or broccoli or whatever other vegetable, leftover meat or bacon, and then cook it on med-low in oil and butter and toss with pasta

most of the things I intentionally plan on making require at least two pans or are complicated in some other way

This basically what I did in college, even the washing dishes and cutting veggies while food is simmering. Instead of veggies I would thrown in onion first, and my liquid would be a mix of soy sauce lemon juice and chili oil. Added some cooking oil or ghee for easy 1200 calorie meal 2x a day with minimal cleanup and prep, and eat it straight out of the skillet.

Buttered toast (granary/wholewheat bread preferably) topped with baked beans with added coriander, chilli flakes and extra virgin olive oil, topped with two fried eggs. Cook eggs on a low heat with the lid on and serve with the yolks still runny but whites cooked through.

Takes literally 3-4 minutes with microwave/toaster/pan going at the same time. Relatively nutritious and surprisingly tasty. Good Post workout meal, high in protein.
