I unironically enjoy fish sticks. Not only are they absolutely delicious and quick to prepare. But they also are an excellent source of high quality protein and heart healthy Omega-3 fatty acids.

There's tons of fish that are better, I just named the first tasteless whitefish that come to mind.

These are fried at some point. The 3rd ingredient is Canola/Soybean oil.

There definitely are some brands that are raw, even if the coating is cooked. I ate some out of the package once because I assumed they were precooked and the fish was translucent rather than opaque white like cooked fish should be.

No idea.
I love them in my mouth though.

a lot of pre-packaged products that are generally fried, but are expected to be baked at home, are par fried to improve the texture of the outer coating. french fries, breaded meats, etc.

>> No.14837567

>>14837530
Is right, I was too retarded to remember the term par fried.

They don't cook the whole thing, just fry the breading onto the flash frozen fish.

Yes. Once I didn’t have the oven at the right temperature so the fish sticks came out undercooked and they definitely tasted and smelled like raw undercooked fish

Let me rephrase that. Why can’t a 35 year old man put fish sticks in his mouth?
