Mutton stew with carrot, onion, and potato, but I made mine with beef to piss off my ancestors

Any Irish person will tell you there's no wrong thing to put in a stew, my grandmother used to add raisins, my mother added barley and lentils. I know people who use the tough stewing cuts that take 4 hours to softer, some use beef mince, which defeats the purpose of making stew.

The goal is to make it as cheap as possible, these days lamb and mutton is more expensive than beef.

It is too hot right now for me to make any soups. I can't wait for it to finally cool down so I can get back into some soup.
