If they are like every other group that gets high off their own farts then they either eat meat and lie about it or focus on how superior not eating meat makes them to other people and use that to handle their cravings. A few of them who actually care about animals will think about animals and how they are doing this for their sake.

You can worry not because anyone you encounter on here touting veganism are the ones who get high off a sense of moral superiority like any zealot and not the ones that genuinely care about animals and just want them to suffer less. Those vegans I have nothing but respect for. Shame they are so rare.

If the craving is very strong I'll eat meat. If the craving is not that strong, often thoughts of suffering animals will come into my mind and then the cravings go away. I definitely don't beat myself up when I do eat meat, though. I'm mostly vegan for ethical reasons, not to show off, so the way I see it, it's better for me to be mostly vegan and eat meat every now and then for the sake of my health (physical and/or psychological) than it would be for me to not be vegan at all. So I end up eating meat usually about twice a month or so.

You guys realize plants suffer just as much as animals right? Probably moreso since it’s the equivalent of keeping an animal alive and slicing off the tasty bits you want.
