just an example, way back when I was still learning and I tossed everything in the same bag. I also don't wait for bugs any more and put questionables into their own separate new bags so good stuff doesnt get toxic spores by accident on them, especially if they are slimy or readily drop spores.

For the learning impaired, It means that not all boletes are good to eat. They all look very similar except a few key differences, and then even, you must use additional tests or you have no business eating more than store bought cheapos and dried. I dont even both with some varieties unless I'm damn sure and some I wont be until I can afford a phase contrast microscope to properly identify spore samples.(aka some varieties are just too much work for frying, leave it to a scientist)

Nope and nope, thats what those things normally look like. They dont have stems, a bunch of them together, all solid and untouch on the outside except this intermittent yellow stain on white flesh. That stuff inside are jelly like spore granules that spread when the rest rots away.
