Thankfully the thrift stores in my area regularly get pretty nice china sets donated after the funeral, and end up selling them at 25 or 50 cents a piece, although a matched teapot/sugar/creamer/cup/saucer/dessert plate set will usually fetch a premium.

Most annoying shit, is having to deal with my dad cooking. He doesn’t know how to use spices, if it isn’t a premixed spice pack, he’s literally just throwing random spices at it, probably because he’s high af. Makes a fucking mess, always uses every pot, pan, dish, and utensil in the house to cook. Always cooks unhealthy shit tier food, adds as much fat imaginable to any dish, usually some kind of retarded shit like ‘Mississippi Roast’ or some low tier ‘Southern’ style dish. He can’t even manage to cook rice properly, it’s always underdone and hard, he literally uses fucking instant rice like wtf. Also all ingredients used come from a can or box if at all possible. the country crock containers are good for dry goods or things to keep in a workshop with labels on them. You really shouldn't use them to reheat food in the microwave though. They're a porous plastic that has memory. The other problem is warm food going into a type of plastic that was never meant to be warm, let alone last years of reuse, so you can be sure some cancer-linked BPAs are leeching into food. For some people the resused containers are more about the fact you can throw them out if they get moldy or you can freely give them away to guests who want to take home food (thanksgiving). Either way, wean her off of the habit by being a generous child.

Buy her some stacking tupperware, pyrex, snapware, or rubbermaid in those square or nice nesting sizes for the size of leftovers you often create. I like the 1 cup square kinds for fitting in the dishwasher so well. Bonus points for the more expensive microwaveable vented lids that go freezer to microwave. If there are foods prepped like main and 2 sides into these containers, there are dishes just meant for that now. Think about it carefully and know you are competing with how nice those items there are nesting for drawer space.

If you were smart you wouldn't be doing this anyway. As the for the plastic leeching observation this is more an issue with hot foods going into the tub or microwaving the tub with food inside or having acidic foods such as tomato based sauces being stored in a plastic container - again a no-no.

Let your food cool down and store the right kinds of things in them and it will be fine.

I wonder if all the "Gluten intolerance" that has become a thing in the last decade or two is really just a combination of the massive amounts of Gyphosate in our grain,(they use it as a drying agent before harvest, sometimes up to 6-8 times,) and all the newer "Cleaning products" people mindlessly allow to cover their eating/drinking ware.
