Okay anons, down here in Miami Florida iguanas are out of control and are considered a pest. You're able to kill as many as possible but as long as you eat them. What is /ck/ favorite way of cooking them? My favorite way is to straight up grill them.

>> No.14764848

doesn't look like a lot of meat
what does it taste like?

>> No.14764880

>>14764848
It's not, usually you would make 10 or 15 or more when you grill them or cook them . The taste, first off it's chewy and it can be tough if you took it too fast, the flavor it's kind of bland but with a gamey taste. It has the texture of chicken but it tastes like I'm going to say duck or hen. I like to make iguana skewers over an open flame.

they do all the time but it's typically foreigners that haven't yet figured out that there is food everywhere and it's easy to catch decent stuff like snook, shrimp, cero mackerel, spiny lobster

I've eaten croc in a pie before. The saucy filling counteracted the dryness of the reptile meat. Might also be good with iguana.

i've had fried alligator in my floridian excursions before. it's like chicken with a more softer, chewier, more consistent texture and a little bit of a gamey aftertaste. it got old by the end of the appetizer, but it's by no means a bad eat.

The Florida Wildlife and Game commission says to do it in the most humane way possible. If you're in a residential area within the city limits, you can use a BB gun, a 22 if it's not too loud, bow and arrow, stab it in the head with a knife into the brain, or the most fastest effective way is to just chop off its head with a machete. If you're outside in the city limits you can use an actual gun but be sure you aim for the fucking head. I personally use a compound bow. You can go down US1 in Coconut Grove and they're literally on the side of the fucking road just hanging out chilling. You can stop and kill them.

Some other anons where asking about seasoning, dude I literally just use salt pepper garlic and a little bit of lime juice I shove that fucker on a stick and grill it over an open flame. And then just eat it on the stick.

I have heard from various sources that crocodile and alligator meat is really good, but it must be fresh. Freezing destroys the taste and the texture.

Newfag. There are memes about Florida.

Also, that state is a swirling mess of invasive species. The best way to deal with them would be to eat all the python, iguana, sliders, giant crabs, snakeheads, tilapia, and catfish. Become the super predator.

It's really hit or miss, I work in dade county and most of the cubans I worked with either looked like mutts or were "white" like you said. I guess that has a lot to do with race mixing in the later generations. Cubans are bro tier however, once you make friends with them they treat you like a member of the family, I've really grown to like their food too.
