probably coconut horchata

people may not realize horchata is just nut or grain milk mixed with cinnamon, vanilla and sweetened milk. you can make it with rice, barley, oats, coconut, almonds and melon seeds

What's the best eggnog brand? My store carries Evan Williams and Pennsylvania Dutch and they taste about the same with a slight edge towards Evan Williams.

I was even thinking of making my own this December, based on George Washington's old recipe

I made this recipe 4 times last winter because my family and friends could not get enough of it after they tried it at our christmas party

Make it by october and let it age a bit, it really does get better, and gets you FUCKING drunk.

Excellent idea anon! I'll be doing the same, only because I'm making some this weekend and I will inevitably run out by January and need to make more.
I'm not a heavy drinker, but when I have this shit lying around and it's winter break (senior year of uni) I replace half my dinner with a big glass of this and get nice and toasty. It's filling, too, so you can treat it like a meal if you just want to get drunk.

Mexico's Advocaat. I've tried it before, it's pretty gud.

>> No.14755704

Mexican nuns in the 1500s needed a dessert to impress some spaniard bigshot, and they cooked egg yolks with vanilla, ground almonds and sugar til they got a thin custard which was then spiked with rum and sometimes seasoned with cinnamon.
More modern commercial brands don't have almonds in them anymore, and some use thickeners like alginates or cornstarch. The good brands don't though, and flavors can be added. Coffee, pine nuts, pecans, almonds and peanut are easy to find.
