Yeah, Boar's Head is usually a pretty decent quality product, but this one is a little fucky. Processed cheese isn't always bad, this is the brand I'll normally get and it's just gouda, bacon, and sodium citrate.

also lets not forget that processed doesn't mean bad, it could mean that it's wrapped up, sealed, or canned. So they could have sealed it, froze it for later use. That's why people freeze things in sealed bags for later use. Like how chicken can be frozen up to several months at a time and still be eaten.

Canned foods are almost indefinitely good. Storing up to 50 years? they are fine!
