Bullshit. Bottled garlic is coated in oil, has an odd "nibbly" texture from its cooking process, and tastes like garlic if garlic had 90% of its flavour stripped away.
Fresh garlic has none of the above.

Here's a weird method to remove onion/garlic smell: just wash while touching chromium. Like, for instance, stainless steel which contains chromium. The chromium will create a non-smelling sulfur compound. They even sell "Stainless steel soaps" for that.

you have to be handicapped to buy this. i would say that maybe if you don't have a knife you could buy this except you can literally crush garlic with your hands. i can't think of a single reason anyone would need this or prefer this to processing your own garlic.
imagine spending more money for an inferior product. chopping garlic is the most basic technique, maybe boiling water or slicing a loaf of bread and putting it in a toaster is easier? if you can't fucking chop garlic i seriously struggle to believe you can do anything else in the kitchen.

It's not about price, it's that people are too retarded and/or lazy to press or mince whole garlic. I bought jarred garlic once at the start of the pandemic because their were all out of regular garlic. I still haven't opened the jar, and i don't think I ever will. It will forever stay in my fridge, a constant reminder of the bad decisions that lead me here.

I recently decided to start buying fresh garlic. Ruined a batch of pesto with the overwhelming spicy taste of fresh garlic. I decided to roast the rest of the heads and use them in cooking. Tastes the same as jarred, to me. I switched back to jarred after they ran out and it's way better. Less hassle and easy to measure. I made pesto again with jarred and it actually tastes like pesto not yucky burning garlic

Or do what I do and do it yourself. I get a couple heads of garlic, scallions and parsley, put the whole thing (yes I skin the garlic) in the food processor with some olive oil, put the jar in the fridge. Clean spoon every time. When the oil gets low I add enough to cover the top.

yes, it's very nice that you learned a new thing, even one as trivial as cutting garlic and it's understandable that you're very excited about the fact and want to talk about it (autistics tend to do that), but when you have to do a thing over and over again, people like to take shortcuts to improve efficiency.
