I’m boycotting the local Taco Bell (Hoover Rd. south of 11 Mile in Warren MI) because it’s run by retards.

Twice I’ve gone there and was told they “have no meat” and the last time, I pulled into the drive thru even though there were a lot of cars already lined up (it was after work and I was starving) and it took forever to place my order and then forever get to the window, only to be told to pull around and my food would be brought out?!

I pulled around and notice _half a dozen other people_ sitting in their cars waiting for their food and it ended up taking at least 30mins before I was finally on my way home.

Why dont you guys go to actual Mexican places? I don’t understand. Better ingredients, better options and like 2X the portions for the same price. Unless you exclusively buy dollar menu items or the only Mexican places around you are “gourmet” there’s just no valuw to Taco Bell. $5 for nachos with fake cheese and grey meat? I'm in Kansas City and taco Bell routinely has long lines here in certain neighborhoods. Only place with longer lines in chick file a, sometimes the lines are more than 20 cars deep. Taco Bell is the most popular fast food here, moreso than McDonald's I'm sure

Taco Bell is it's own category of food. It's an Americanized version of Mexican food with a distinct flavor profile. I honestly find it hard to describe, but I believe the secret to their flavor is in the cheese, sour cream, and other sauces. The cheese sauce at taco Bell is like a mix of regular nacho cheese but something else. Probably gross and bad for you, but the only way to get that taste is taco Bell.

In addition, taco Bell has unique menu items that you can't get at a Mexican place, even the southern California styled ones that have a drive thru and sell carne asada fries and fat chimichangas.

You can't get a Quesarito or a crunchwrap at a Mexican restaurant. Nowhere else has the equivalent of a chalupa or gordita with a fat, pita bread like tortilla. If I'm wrong about the Quesarito plz tell me a Mexican place that makes a burrito with two tortillas and a layer of cheese and rice in between the two tortillas.

And that's just scratching the surface. Frankly, Taco Bell is the most innovative and adventurous fast food restaurant period. They are redfining American cuisine, they aren't afraid to experiment. It shows that despite all the corporate bullshit there are passionate people there who care about food and want to try bold new creations.

McDonald's didn't invent the cheeseburger or anything at all. Taco Bell has invented dozens of entirely new concepts
