Don't heat it empty, bring it to temperature slowly in order to preserve the enamel.

Not sure I understand the question: are you asking for advice about buying Le Creuset cookware?

I have a 10 inch LC, a 9qt dutch oven (they shipped the wrong size but only charged me for the 5.5 qt so I said whatever fuck it) and a balti. All of them are fantastic. I really like the brand, my parents were given a multi piece set for their wedding they use to this day 35 years later. I wouldnt buy a set for myself though, just individual pieces. Besides the dutch oven, a pan and a saucepot, just keep buying based on what you need the most.

Like other LC stuff? If you aren't a fag and care about color, and you are near, or don't care about the drive, you can find cheap LC stuff at outlet malls. Their stuff is nice, but I don't see buying a whole kitchen of their stuff, I'd mostly rather have stainless for the rest.
