He means raw rice, it's technically a very coarse powder

I like finely diced pork belly in my fried rice with sugar snap peas, mushrooms, oyster sauce, and Sichuan peppercorn.
>>14593276
it's a seasoning pack you buy when you don't know what goes in/how to season fried rice. It's helpful if you don't wanna invest in bottles of mirin, soy sauce, or oyster sauce but I hate the shit personally.

This is the only answer. Just add meat, ideally pork / shrimp fried in a very light mix of oyster sauce, soy, garlic and white pepper. Fried rice is a utility dish, it's the best thing to eat when you want to keep drinking during a night out or to somewhat help with a hangover. Its horrendously unhealthy, but extremely inexpensive and when done right it's basically like crack

>baby bok choy
Used to eat this shit all the time ~10 years ago. Now it's expensive as fuck so I end up getting spinach or napa cabbage instead. I miss it, bros...

Baby bok is my favorite asian vegetable. Hearty enough to use in soups, you can use it in almost every asian cuisine and you can stir fry it 100 different ways. North America bok choy is fucking way too big and is almost as watery as celery. I can buy a lb of baby bok for maybe 2 dollars CAD. Where the fuck do you live that it's too expensive?

I accidentally got muddled and told a boomer you can't keep rice past a day and she believed me. Rip to all the rice I've made her waste.

South Florida. It's almost 4$ for a 1lb bag at most grocery stores around here, even the oriental markets.
I used to work as a produce delivery driver for the chinese restaurants and take out places and could but it directly from the warehouse for less than 2 bucks a pound. Same thing for bean sprouts, oyster mushrooms, mung beans, snap peas, pretty much all asian veg I could get for dirt.

She's an absolute dummy for believing you. How can you be alive past 55 or so years of age and believe that? I have never met a boomer who is a good / clever cook.

Damn. That sounds like a sweet gig. Driving a 5 tonne in the city sucks dick though. I live close to hongkouver, so I can get virtually any chinese ingredient dirt cheap. Funny how the chinese have basically taken over half of the agriculture here and use their businesses as fronts for drug / sex trafficking. I'm not complaining though.

Ginger isn't needed in fried rice imo, unless it is very meat / veg heavy. Garlic is non negotiable though.
