Use to be a red baron guy because they were cheap. But when the store ran out after everyone stocked up on shit paper I had to go for digiorno hand tossed pizzeria pizza and I can't go back.

>> No.14593038

Any thin crust pizza that isn't something shitty like plain cheese or pepperoni is probably edible. Frozen pizza all tends to sort of taste the same and it's almost always mediocre at best.
Thick crust pizza is great but it always ends up tasting and feeling like garbage when it's part of a frozen pizza. Similarly I've never once had a frozen pizza that had sausage or meats on it that wasn't abhorrent. It's nice on actual pizza, but frozen shit just can't ever pull it off.

I'm actually experimenting with making homemade frozen pizzas right now. I par-baked the crust topped it and froze it. Gonna try one in a few minutes and see if it worked. I'm worried the pizza dough may be too dense because of the short time in the oven during par-baking.

Don't know why the other one was rotated but this is what it looks like out of the oven. I pet the oven preheat to 550 with a cast iron skillet inside then cooked for about 10 minutes. I almost didn't check it thinking it would take as long as normal. Yes, I'm an idiot.

It's actually really good, it didnt get quite as puffy as it does when you bake it fresh but not enough to really affect the final product and it's got a nice crispy outer crust. It needs a bit more sauce, probably from drying out during freezing, but overall very good and I'll definitely make more.

This. I don't recognise any of the brand's posted so far but best bet is to get the biggest, cheapest one and use it as a base to put your own toppings on

its probably not the best by a long shot, but i like tonys cause its cheap and has real ingredients.

whole pizza is like 2.50 and add some canned mushrooms on it and you got a decent frozen pizza for 3 bucks

Delissio Rising Crust. I dress it up with some basil or oregano and red pepper flakes, and some olive oil when it comes out. Sometimes I'll put some pepperoncini in the middle and pour a ranch ring around the crust because I'm a special good boy

Screamin Sicilian is the way to go.

Amy's makes the best Margherita pizza though

>> No.14596933

You want convenience? Get Red Baron and dress it up at home (stuff like extra toppings, chili flakes, garlic powder, etc.). Below that price point you get shit like Totinos which is even more garbage, and above that price point you don't see much improvement in quality. You want GOOD pizza? Then find a decent local joint that does it right and skip over chains entirely. There's almost no reasonable middle ground when it comes to pizza. Be satisfied with convenient crap, or spend a little extra on something decent.
