A friend of mine used to do that but would steal my chocolate habaneros to add to his mix, I never minded I thought it was funny. I can only get them at a certain sliding time of the year so I just make packages of them and freeze them. I've learned to not wash them before freezing, just push them into a freezer bag and into the freezer they go.
