Can I ask why shin is considered to be so good? Is it the soup or the noodles that are above average? I like next to an H Mart so I've tried a bunch of ramen and shin is like a 7/10 to me, most brands are about the same

Is it just because people only try maruchan and shin and go "wow shin is so much better"?

i prefer the cup noodles because they're flat and chewier, and more convenient since you can cook them with any source of hot water such as a coffee pot, electric kettle, pot & stove, etc. takes like 3 minutes of soaking for perfect texture.

it's the best ramen on the western market. high quality noodles, broth packs a fair punch. there are better ramens, but most non-standard ramens on the western market aren't actually that good and are mostly an acquired taste, see pretty much every ramen in this thread. I actually quite like stuff like >>14578348 but it's not at all better than shin; people confuse their personal subjective taste for overall objective quality.

cup noodles are extremely delicious but nissin only the ones made in Japan
I've heard reports of USA made noodles being underwhelming and i know for that European made ones are simply okay, noting noteworthy about them
if you want to try cup noodles from other brands, then off the top of my head I would recommend Nongshim's Oolongmen and Kokomen and YumYum Seafood flavour

well it depends on the country you're in and what exactly you're looking for
i don't know of any nissin cup noodle alternatives, but if you like korean style noodles then Paldo Kokomen(made a mistake in my first post, for some reason i thought they're Nongshim as well) or Nongshim Oolongmen is pretty good
also Nongshim Soon ramen, but it comes in a regular package as well, i like to crush some garlic in it as well before pouring water
if you can find it, try YumYum Seafood flavour cup noodles - it is important that you get the cup version
regular YumYum noodles are just okay, but the cup version is something else
the boulion is delicious by itself, but they are also relatively generous with the dried stuff, which includes shrimp, seaweed, some clamari/octopus slices and kamaboko pieces

look bruh it's just some chink who didn't give any proper criticism other than shitting out a numerical rating on the scale of 1 to 5
or maybe he did but we wouldn't know because it's in ching chong language
also he didn't even stir the fucking noodles after pouring the water in and that's a brainlet move since if you forget to do that, the soup powder won't dissolve well enough all around the cup and won't impart its flavour into the noodles, rendering them plain in the end
anyways it's up to you whom to trust, me or some chink on the youtube, but let me tell you what, don't cross a cup noodle out just because some reviewer rated it 2/5
i'd rate them somewhere between 3 and 4
as far as non-korean style cup noodles go, they're pretty good
better than Mama noodles

You can do a lot with ramen. I still make it maybe once a week for lunch (usually saturdays when the wifey is at her mothers).
>I just need some cheap foods
Just don't fall for the meme recipes like ramen pizza imo. Never was a fan of it. Pick up some ramen, some cheap veggies, maybe some deli meat, some kind of cheap hot sauce if you need a slight bit of kick, some sesame oil or something and you'll be set. If you're watching the sodium, don't use as much as the flavor packet or drink the broth if you use all of it imo.

I'd say google stoner ramen recipes (stoners know what to do with cheap food) or something and see if you find anything. I only made my own recipes that changed every night in college.
