>Boozy Scots line streets to pick up new Mad Dog 2020 Electric Melon flavour with queues out the door of shops in Glasgow and Falkirk

>BOOZY Scots lined the streets outside an off-licence in Alloa in a bid to grab a new flavour of MD 2020.

>The queue for the Alloa Road shop in Stenhousemuir was out the door as scores of folk waited to get their hands on US taste Electric Melon.

>A number of people posted on social media with pictures of the lines.

>But nobody seemed put off by the waiting times as they simply hoped to grab the pink bevvy.

>One person told how Day Today was stowed out as people waited.

>They posted on Twitter: "Can’t believe Alloa Road shop had a full pallet of melon MD and it was gone in an hour, got 2 bottles out the last case just in time".

>Another said: "Canny believe there a que out the door of folk buying electric melon MD at 3.00 on a Tuesday afternoon.

>"Was in that Alloa road shop in Stenhousemuir but they sold out in a couple hours".

>One joked: "Why folk say Scottish people have a drinking problem al never know. Alloa road shop only sold 750 bottles of dug in under 3 hour".

>A fourth said: "Full place has went mental on a tuesday fur that new mad dog, fucking glesga man no place in the world like it - love it. "Que for MD course".

>One lad appeared jealous on seeing a pal online with the bottle, asking: "Where'd you source that nectar?" before admitting he'd "keep an eye out" when told it was in Stenhousemuir.

>The store eventually had to post on their own Facebook channel to explain they had managed to procure the bottles - but were limiting purchase to two per customer due to popular demand.

>They posted: "Sorry for not replying we are very busy at the moment, we have electric melon MD 20/20 but going fast so now it’s 2 per customer".

>Another commented: "Fkin chokin tae try this electric melon, wee wine testeing night anycunt".

I would say that 'peaches and cream,' the orange one, and 'coco loco' are passable. The orange stuff basically just tastes like sweetened orange juice with a couple shots of vodka in it. Some of the others taste like sugary chemical sludge.

Take a handful of jolly ranchers of whatever flavor you like. Orange, cherry, blue raspberry, doesn't matter. Stuff them into your fat mouth and suck. Then, chase it with a chug from a bottle of red jug wine of your choice. Wa la, you've got Mad Dog.

Scotfag here. I remember being at a party where a bottle of this stuff, which was also possibly imported, was being passed around and tried by everyone as this “super good drink from America”. Was pretty stupid

I see MD 20/20 all over here but I've never actually witnessed anyone drinking it before. I've bought it as a gag gift a couple of times. I'm pretty sure the people I gave it to just end up tossing it in the trash after a month.

But then again, Buckfast is kind of an expensive semi-luxury alcohol in the US. The last time I saw it, it was something like $8.99 per bottle.

That would never happen here. People here and in the UK in general really don't care how a drink tastes so long as it contains alcohol.

Mad Dog is literally bum wine. It is cheap as fuck and is fortified so you get good brain damage for the investment. The only people that buy it are homeless people and high school kids. You will see highschool kids drinking it at parties because they asked a bum to buy their booze and he just got a bunch of bottles of that.
