The Boston Market crust, out of the microwave, is better than the Stouffer's or Marie Callender's crusts out of the oven.
The Boston Market one also has bigger, tastier, more consistently not-gristly pieces of chicken as well as the most restaurant-like, thick, rich gravy inside.
The one thing MC's has on the BM ones is the variety of flavors. The filling in the Parmesan one is super tasty and I like the beef pot pies, too.
But, in terms of just a straight chicken pot pie, there is no contest. The Boston Market one tastes homemade and the other ones taste like frozen meals.

So here's the dealio, yo

Everybody always says that they got no love for Banquet
But when I get drunk it's like my comfort blanket
You see it's the only brand that my mom will buy
So I got no choice but to eat this pot pie
I cook it in the oven like a hundred jews
And when it's done it's hot like young kid nudes
I'm sorry, that was just a sick poor joke
To cool the shit off I give it six fork pokes
Gravy leaking out of the pastry, like cum from my ass from the priest who raped me
I break up the crust and mix it up with black pepper
And when I'm finished eating I feel sicker than a leper
But anyway, this is all I wanted to say
Eat too many a day and you'll sure gain weight

If it's a choice between pizza rolls, hot pockets, and a frozen pot pie...
I'll take the frozen pot pie every time.
I'd rather have real food, usually, but the chicken pot pies are decent for zero effort food.

>> No.14547103

>>14545847
They aren't really the effort to cook from scratch. It's even a hard call if you cheat and use packaged pie crust. It's not that scratch ones aren't good, there's just way better things I could make with the same work. And compared to most other food frozen dinners try to emulate, pot pie does just about the best job.

Yeah, I always flip them upside down, empty them out of the tray and break them apart so the inside gets a chance to cool off and not be so fucking molten. They're not kind to the roof of my mouth if I don't do this.

There's effort, though! You have to walk to the kitchen, risking being seen; unwrap the box, risking being heard; engage the microwave, risking being seen from the light, and heard from the beeps; and then run back to your room, risking being seen again. Ohh nghhh I want to be seen......... but only by someone cute and beautiful. ;_;

Boston market makes the best frozen pot pies and they’re a decent size too. I always get pic related tho if I’m buying a chicken pie at the store

I just threw a Banquet pot pie in the oven. For 99 cents or w/e they aren't bad...but when it goes on sale for like 70 cents I can't help but stock up.

They aren't hard, but by the time you've put in the pot pie effort, you could have had something else an hour ago, or have something else you may like better.
Shepherd's pie/cottage pie or quiche will take less time and effort.
Empanadas are probably comparable.

Pot pies are superb if you've already got a roast chicken dinner made and have to pack up the leftovers, and want them in a different form. Similar for pasties.

For me it's the Marie Calendar chicken, bacon, & cheddar pot pie. Otherwise, I love the chili pot pie with a dab of sour cream.
