Why is /ck/ seething so much about him?
He is a teacher, which is probably the most important and glorious profession, he is a writer for one of the most read online magazine, he has a beautiful wife and two beautiful children, he is a rising youtube star who doesn't care about angering the rest of the world by shitting on the metric system, he is super fit (probably goes to the gym at least 4 times a week), he is an incredible cook on top of that...
He's literally an American hero.... So why can't you accept that he is superior and start give him the admiration that he deserves?

I think cultural appropriation is a real and bad thing, and I want to be careful about cooking other people's food. That said, I have recipes for things drawn from other cultures that I really feel I've made my own, and I do plan to do some of those soon. For example, I have an enchiladas verdes recipe I've been working on for years that I think is really good. And I think I might want to tackle some basic Anglo-Indian classics again, like butter chicken. But mostly, one of the reasons I'm transitioning into doing YouTube full-time is that I want to have time to go out and shoot other people in their kitchens making recipes from their own traditions.
