My roommate is constantly offering me food and I keep declining. It seems to be wearing on him. What's the most polite way for someone to decline food to those of you that cook out there?

I hate offending my friend, but I do my own thing when it comes to food. I only ask here because I'm sure your cooking is special to you. (Yes, I have posted something similar before months ago, but the house is even more strained right now.)

Let me know when you find out, OP.

I've got two people that can't take no for answer regarding offering food. I love cooking my own food though and I keep trying to explain that to them.

OP, it sounds like it's time to branch out from tendies and mac n cheese

I don't want the food. I want to eat when I'm hungry. I want to eat what sounds good to me. I especially don't want to feel like I'm obligated to cook him a meal later, or do dishes/washing when I'm doing something else.

Or I just don't feel like whatever he's putting on. It's not because I'm picky. I made my own dinner plans, like an adult.

>take food, say you've eaten but you'll have it for lunch/whatever tomorrow
>if you don't want it when you ARE hungry, throw it out in an outside trash can somewhere where he won't see
simple, right? Or does he want you to eat it right away?

I don't understand this. Just tell them you're not interested. If they press then say you're not in the mood for whatever they made. Alternatively you can tell them to stop offering and be done with it.

"No thank you! Food is of this world, and this world is sinful."
Then go to your room and play Aramaic chanting on a loop as loudly as possible

Just say you have stomach problems and you can only eat on your own schedule.

I mean I would just take it. I'd rather let my friend feel good for giving me something, if he wants to do it so badly.

>> No.14536740

tell him to stop being a faggot and if his food is so good he should have no problem eating it all himself

You got a touch of the tism, lad. You're hurting people around you without noticing or even conceiving the possibility.

He wants to sit and eat together when he makes food, not just have me place it in the fridge and watch it waste away.

>>14536634
This works once or twice, but I constantly turn down his food. I thought he'd get the hint that I just want to be responsible for our own meals. He keeps offering, and acting passive aggressive for days after I decline.
