isn't their assembly line like guns hanging from the ceiling and they just squeeze the trigger and stuff comes out? how difficult is it to make food when all you gotta do is reach for the nearest meat gun and goop some into a tortilla and wrap it?

The 5 layer is probably still my favorite menu item (grilled, add onions and red sauce), but it's really disconcerting how they've slowly raised the price over the past year or so. I almost never even get it anymore unless it comes in a $5 box, which they also seem to be phasing out in favor of "value" boxes that look more and more like their overpriced combo meals. So usually I just stick to the dollar menu, but since the announcement they've slowly been taking items off the dollar menu on the app, unofficially like. First it was the fritos burrito, and tonight the triple layer nachos was gone. I usually try to stay under $5 if I'm going to eat fast food, but I decided to do the $10 taco and burrito box. It comes with 4 tacos and 4 5 layer burritos. Considering that a single 5 layer costs over $3 now it's technically a good deal, but it doesn't feel good.

Rather have a bean/beef burrito and just order a side sauce for dunking

>> No.14536911

Being value/poor people food is Taco Bell's niche. I used to do sampling/market research surveys when I was underage b7 (if you ever want to get into one of these, just claim to be a hispanic woman. works every time.) and not eligible yet for based NEETbux, and I did a lot of Taco Bell questionnaires. (Pinecone Research did these constantly.) Every potential new item always included the same type of consumer profiling questions:
Strongly agree to strongly disagree:
>I go to Taco Bell when I'm looking for good value
>My main goal is to get filled up at a low price
>Price is my first consideration when looking at fast-food restaurants
etc;
But then again this was quite a while ago. But then again (again), Taco Time already has the 'tacos for the wealthy' market on lockdown in the pacific northwest so I'm sure that can't possibly be Taco Bell's endgame here.

Hey TB anon, are they getting rid of the $1 chicken quesadilla? I expect to mostly stop going, but when I do go if I can still get these and the humble bean burrito, at least that will be something

>a bean/beef burrito
The combo burrito hasn't been on the menu in years, but it is still cheaper to add beef to a bean burrito than order a 5 layer. Gonna try this next time (though technically I think the combo burrito had double beef).
>>14536962
>are they getting rid of the $1 chicken quesadilla
They changed it to the shredded chicken quesadilla melt last year, but I haven't seen anything mentioning that they're getting rid of that. However, without the spicy tostada I doubt I'll order it again. The $2 crunchwrap anon kept shilling grew on me, but without all the added ingredients in the tostada I've just never really been a fan of Taco Bell chicken.
