never tried the green label but came here to post the black label. It's obviously no luxury but I always thought anyone condescending to EW black had something up their ass. Drinks smooth and sweet, there's not much that's cheaper and still worth your time (I remember Benchmark No8 being alright but a long time ago, hazy memories, but even then it's only a buck or two difference). How would you compare the green to the black?

Benchmark is Buffalo Trace that's aged in the non prime warehouse locations (usually top and bottom floors don't age as well as the middle ones) and then watered down to 80 proof rather than 94. It's a good value.

It's literally the best cheap blended scotch (which is the best cheap whisky or whiskey) at 20$ for a fifth, that exists, you have literally any other suggestion that fits the criteria I'm all ears.

I did the local bar's 'Whiskey Wall' (drink 100 whiskeys to get your name on a plaque) twice and both times through I concentrated on the cheap bourbons (although you had to have ten scotches) and I came up with this rule: If it starts with 'E' or 'Old', it's gonna be good.
