I’m on the opposite coast from these guys, and it took me a bit to get on board with their pickle vision, but right now my favorite pickles are pic related. Used to be Boar’s Head and before that, Claussen. Note I am not a fan of sweet pickles like OP.

These.

Question: why does kosher tend to make the pickle taste worse?

>why does kosher tend to make the pickle taste worse?
probably just a lack of iodine or other trace elements in the salt used
or something antisemitic, you know, whichever

Based. These are great. TJs also have extra dill with a more potent vinegar with an added flavor that I can't put my finger on.

I have been making refrigerator pickles a lot lately due to an abundance of Kirby's from my garden. It's super easy, no canning/boiling required.

Spicy Bayou pickles are the best bread and butter style. If you can't find those then Wickles Pickles are second best.

bubbies, but they are salt no vinegar. when i want vinegar, i used to like nathans, but i found out they donate to donald trump, so i went with Grillos, pretty much as good. nathans has a really nice bite and delicate flavor .i dont want or need "hot" pickles. try them, and if worship trumps penis good for you, if not, tell nathans you just found them, but now wont buy them

Fuck yes. Either these or locally pickled from farmers markets. Before all this corona shit this one lady near me made some insanely good quartered and chipped ones pickled with cloves, black pepper corns, garlic and carolina reapers.

Is it true that iodised salt makes brine cloudy?
I remember old people around here saying that old-fashioned non-iodised rock salt is more likely to keep the brine clear.
