You should really separate sandwiches into categories. The best hot sandwich you can have is a french dip, close second is a tie between the meatball sub/open face turkey/grilled meatloaf. Cold sandwich winner is obviously a roast beef sandwich with a close second being tuna and third place going to egg salad.

Most places screw it up by not preparing it properly. You have to cut it thin and in short round slices instead of long slices, keeps it from being too mushy or fibrous. Tastes really good when done right especially with lots of cheese on it.

I once took a bite into a sausage, egg and cheese while waiting in line for 20 mintues for it. I made the mistake of also getting it with cream cheese. The entire contents slid out the back but i caught it with my other hand. Just ate it like a pig while a mother and her daughter looked on in horror.
