I bought some loose lemon balm leaves from a grocery store (though they basically look the same as the ones in regular teabags) to see if I can use them as replacement for anxiety medication (clonazepam) and easing daily headaches.

Does the method of preparation matter if I only care about the effects and not the taste?

Can I add sugar?
Do I need to use filtered water?
Are the leaves I bought good enough or should I get ones that aren't crushed like that?

I am gonna try anyway but it would be nice if I didn't have to bother with perfecttly brewing it every time

Tea is leaf water, not medicine.

>if I can use them as replacement for anxiety medication (clonazepam)

ugh, ya that's not gonna work

i mean sure tea is good and can help anxiety, but its not in the same league as clonazepam.

i hope you didn't go cold turkey off that shit, cause you're gonna have a bad time

They are fine. I am trying hibiscus tea soon for high blood pressure and chamomile for anxiety

I find chamomile to be calming (I tried to grow some but didn't get enough this year ;w;). I also drink tisanes made of clover I picked and dried.

I hope to grow lemon balm and mint too. I almost had peppermint but I left the babies out in the sun for way too long on a hot and cooked them TwT
