There's a national recall on California grown (multiple brands) red onions. They finally linked the cases.

I like a raw onion,especially a green onion or vidalia, but some parts of the year, because of storage time, those red ones are just really strong and aged, and more suitable for cooking or pickling.

Most likely. What's funny is I was extensively tested for allergies as a child because I have hypochondriac, middle class parents. No food allergies ever came up. It makes me wonder if I developed it throughout my life or if it's just a sensitivity. The main issue is when the onions are raw though. I unavoidably eat red onion on occasion since many times they are used as a sauce base in many types of cooking and lots of food servers are retarded and don't know that counts as being in the dish too. I feel like this is a big time first world problem but as a foodie it is annoying as shit. I have trouble ordering at ethnic places that serve Pho or Tacos, ect. where the person im ordering from knows little english.
