I tried a halfassed carbonara today. It had some weird ass fucking shit instead of guanchale, which sucked, the sauce wasn't bad, but I preffer alfredo a billion times, what says you anon?

Also share tips about alfredo and carbonara.

That reminds me my las "carbonara" pizza I had. I was extremely disgusted, the "carbonara sauce" was pretty much some sort of omelette. I really wanted to murder the chef. It was a paki, to top it off.

what did you expect?

Yeah, 100% my bad on that one. The thing is I go to another where everyone there is a paki or pinoi and they make pretty much the best pizzas I've ever had.

Never get a carbonara outside of a high end italian restaurant. Its usually some bullshit bacon cream sauce with maybe an egg. A Paki should have been a red flag

I was sort of hoping it was a frozen pizza 2bh.

I never eat Alfredo... Its too many calories. Yeah, its delicious i guess, but it just isnt worth the hit to the health.
A nice marinara sauce is almost as tasty, *WAY* more nutritious, and probably 1/6th as many calories.

I remember when I could eat anything I wanted and still be fit. Those days are long gone. But I still won't deny myself of such pleasures like a good alfredo.

I mean if its AMAZING, sure... But i'm not gonna make it myself, and i work in a decent restaurant that serves "alfredo", which comes in a frozen bag... So blindly ordering it even at a $40 entree restaurant still isnt a guarantee it'll be proper and made from scratch.
If i find a delightful old italian lady who invites me over for dinner, sure. Otherwise, imma play it safe and not try to ingest half a cup of cream substitute with artificial paramedian flakes.

Amatriciana is the best pasta dish, no contest

Never tried it, but it seems to me like bolognese or alfredo would taste better.
