anyone here worked at an americanized chinese restaurant/fast food place before? how do i make chinese restaurant tier fried rice?

this is what i do so far:
- jasmine rice cooked in chicken stock, at least a day old set aside
- small piece of butter in the pan
- scramble egg in it
- teaspoon of garlic and ginger
- add couple handfuls of the frozen peas and carrots
- saute the veggies
- add like 2 or 3 scoops of the chicken-broth rice
- roughly about tablespoon of soy sauce
- about the same amount with oyster sauce
- black pepper
- mix it up and i'm done

i tried adding about a teaspoon of sesame oil and chinese 5 spice before, but they don't really emulate the flavor too well. the 5 spice especially just made it taste/smell like pho.

plz help, i'm going to try attempting this again tonight for dinner

get oil not butter very hot, cook garlic for a minute or so and then add the rice. stir quickly, add soy/oyster sauce but use more soy than you have been. Crack the egg on top of the rice once its fried, give it a few quick stirs, turn off heat and stir again.
