I got two Nacho Crunch Double Stacked Tacos, a Shredded Chicken Quesadilla Melt (to wrap around the Spicy Tostada), and a Fritos Burrito, grilled, add onions and red sauce. It might seem silly to be buying Double Stacked Tacos when they're going to be on the new menu, LTO, but I'm a sucker for dollar tacos. I keep thinking I'm fucking up because I always forget to order them al fresco, but it turns out I'm usually just drunk, and forget that al fresco doesn't just remove the shredded cheese, but all cheese items, so I ended up with a regular al fresco hard shell taco with a dry soft tortilla wrapped around it. I get it, but it's dumb, considering that if you order a regular taco they just remove the shredded cheese and replace it with pico, so they should do the same thing but still leave the nacho cheese sauce between the two tortillas. Obviously you want the nacho cheese sauce between the two tortillas.

I've always found that a fascinating take, because at face value it's 100% correct. The weird thing is that a slight change in the ratio of 88% ground beef, nacho cheese sauce, and tortilla, can completely alter the quality of the experience. Meanwhile you can go to Subway and choose from 10 different meats, 4 different breads, 15 different sauces, and 40 different toppings, but no matter how many times you try it's always going to taste like soggy cardboard.
