Nobody in America eats KFC in 2020. I know there are still a few locations open, somehow, but I literally don't know anyone who's eaten KFC in at least a decade. I'm pretty sure they're still in business because of 3rd world locations. I went to a KFC in Vietnam around 2009 and it was one of the nicest fast food restaurants I've ever been in, and half the menu was all localized menu items that didn't resemble US KFC at all.

Sanitation and racially-challenged staff/patrons aside, what are some specific criticisms people have against the food itself? I only ever get the chicken and biscuits, but I like what I get well enough. There are smaller chicken joints that are much better, but KFC has better flavor than other big ones like Churches or Popeyes.

Well this sounds like a good thread to post how to make the best fucking fried chicken. I work for a company in Georgia. Every year my company treated us to a fried chicken lunch at this old White House by a lake. The chicken was beyond anything I’ve ever had. Lots of black people eating there as well as we couldn’t figure out the fucking recipe. Every year we tried to figure out WTF the recipe was. 8 years go by and I said fuck it I’ll ask one mire tine for the recipe. Finally seine spilled the beans. Easy as fuck and I make it all the time and it’s legit. Best thing all our crazy ideas on how they made it we’re wrong it’s easy.

Place chicken on a tray
Sprinkle Tony Chachere’s Cajun Seasoning on the chicken
Get a bowl of self rising flour and lightly cover the chicken
Here’s the trick place chicken in the fridge for 4 hours or over night. The seasoning really gets into the meat.

Time to fry
You can add an extra coat of flour if you want. In fact once you take it out of the fridge the chicken will have a transparent film of flour, but trust me it’s perfect.
Fry the chicken like you fry any chicken but use peanut oil. A Fry Daddy works fine.
