So this is probably the worst chicken (I think) I've ever had, admittedly I got them from a good pantry but I don't honk that's an excuse. What can I possibly do with these to have them be a little more satisfying

>> No.14438750

There's no saving shitty food. The best thing one can do with it is turn it in to filler ingredient. Chop it up finely and add it to some kind of mixture that will mask how shitty it is, with strong flavors and aromatics.

got the same bag from a food pantry too OP. made fettuccine once with them then threw them out.

It's hard to recommend remedies without knowing why they're disappointing.

They look like formed patties for sandwiches, so go nuts with flavorful toppings and sauces.

Slow cook them im stock + seasonings and make them into shredded chicken.

>> No.14438915

Shred or cut them up and then use them for chickenburger helper or tacos.

That won't work, that product can barely be considered chicken. It's closer to skinless chicken nuggets, it won't shred.

I think the worst thing I ever got from a food pantry was a bag of beef stew that was mostly gelatin and heating it up did not improve the texture one bit

>> No.14440239

looks like all youd need to do with that shit is fry them in a skillet/bake in the oven. put it on a buttered bun with whatever condiments you usually like and pretend you bought it down at the local fast food joint.

Fry in oil

These honestly aren't bad, I tried these in a little oil and put it on some mayo and lettuce sandwich. Pretty good

Then pressure cook them or sous vide them for hours, either a way add a Knorr stock pot to the pot or bag. It’s your choice.

Thaw it till you can cut it, chop it up, then chop up some vegetables, do a stir fry, but the proper way, sear the vegetables in smoking hot pan, remove, throw some garlic(and dried chilies if you're down for that) in for 30s, then throw in the chicken and get some color on it, throw back in the veggies and hit it with the sauce of your choice(a little broth, soy, salt, pepper, chili sauce, sugar would be a super basic one), then hit it with a lil corn starch slurry and pour it out.

Only in the loosest sense. Those are clearly reformed mechanically separated meat and almost certainly have a shitload of textured vegetable protein to bulk them out. They've even put the little fake grill marks on them.

this is the correct answer. Chop it up and use it in chicken salad. Maybe spice it up a little bit.
