Get insurance through AAA or CAA if you're in Canada; they're hella cheap. I was getting quoted $400+ a month as a new driver at other places; CAA quoted me $225.

I pay 305€/Q and that's already way too much but I'm 22 so they rape me while they can. I'm going to dump them the second I reach 25.

then just dont insure your car.
there's no point insuring for $700 a month if you only spent $1.5k on a rice-burning rust-bucket anyway.
